Studio Warner Bros. has decided to add another remake of the classic movie about evil aliens to its piggy bank, reports the information portal Deadline . The company intends to shoot a new version of the fantastic horror film Invasion of the Body Snatchers.|
The film is based on the science fiction book by American writer Jack Finney Body Snatchers , released in 1954.Events unfold in a small town where aliens invade. They grow some kind of giant pods that eventually open up and turn into exact replicas of the people living in the city. Gradually, one by one, the inhabitants become victims of doubles who take their place during sleep. Deprived of all emotion, cloned humans begin to multiply. The local doctor who guessed everything is trying to stop what is happening, but neither he himself nor the residents know who is a real person and who is an alien, ready to kill at any moment.
Attempts to film the novel have been made several times. The first version appeared on screens in 1956 and showed itself very worthy at the box office. The second, starring Donald Sutherland, Brooke Adams, Jeff Goldblum and Leonard Nimoy, was released in 1978. This film also wowed audiences and became a hit. Some critics considered it the perfect remake at the time. 15 years later, in 1993, another version called "The Body Snatchers" saw the light, but Hollywood fans of stories about the alien invasion did not stop there either.
