Producers of Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage , who know a lot about teen drama, are ready to return to high school with Netflix . The Hollywood Reporter reports that the online service has acquired the rights to the full-length adaptation of Sarah Pinborough's novel 13 Minutes ( 13 Minutes ).Schwartz and Savage will write the script and produce the project with Michael de Luca (Fifty Shades of Gray) and Trevor Engelson (Remember Me). Sarah Pinborough is a psychological thriller, and its atmosphere has been compared to Gone Girl and Mean Girls.At the center of the action is a high school student who has been dead for 13 minutes. She does not remember how she ended up in the icy water, but she knows that this is not an accident. In order to regain the location of the main character, her ex-girlfriend decides to find the culprit of the incident. However, an act of goodwill puts the girl's life at risk, entangling her into a web of manipulators and terrible secrets ...
