Methuselah is still alive
The last time movie fans heard about the biblical epic “ Methuselah ”, which is being prepared by the studio Warner Bros. , was two years ago. Then the tape got a screenwriter in the person of Zach Dean (Blackbird), but in the end, work on the project stalled.However, now the situation should change for the better: according to the site Deadline , the leadership of WB invited Joaquim Ronning ("The Bandits") to take the director's chair of the film. The studio intends to find a new scriptwriter to make edits to the text of Zach Dean , after which the major will again offer the main role to Tom Cruise, whose name was associated with the project earlier. The film is produced by David Heyman (Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone). Methuselah is considered one of the forefathers of mankind. He lived for about a thousand years and saved people with his prayer, which, according to legend, could drive away death.  The Norwegian Joaquim Ronning came to the attention of major Hollywood studios after he and his longtime colleague Espen Sandberg directed the fifth part of "Pirates of the Caribbean", which is due to be released next year. Previously, the director was noted for the film "Kon-Tiki", which received a nomination for "Oscar" , and managed to work on a couple of episodes of "Marco Polo" ( Marco Polo ).
