Image Film companies Branded Entertainment , Kingsway Productions and Conglomerate Media intend to tell viewers the tragic life story of one of the greatest stars of North American sports of the first half of the 20th century. According to Variety , American studios will join forces to work on a biopic of the famous baseball player Lou Gehrig .

The film about the legend of Major League Baseball and the New York Yankees will be titled " The Happiest Man on the Globe ". The baseball player passed away in the summer of 1941 at the age of 37. Since then, in North America, ALS has been called Lou Gehrig's disease .
