Obi-Wan will move to TV

Image After Han Solo's solo album failed miserably at the box office, Disney decided to shut down the Star Wars spin-off shop. The films about Boba Fett and Obi-Wan Kenobi fell out of favor with the major. Apparently, the studio management considers such projects too risky, but the series for the streaming service Disney + is a completely different matter, and this time Obi-Wan is lucky: he will acquire his own television show.

Moreover, Star Wars fans can rejoice: Ewan McGregor is negotiating for the lead role in the series. In his interviews, the actor has repeatedly admitted that he would love to return to the image of the famous Jedi, and the bosses of the House of Mouse will finally give him such an opportunity.

When rumors of Obi-Wan's solo album surfaced a couple of years ago, some sources claimed that Disney and Lucasfilm were preparing an entire trilogy, so they probably had enough groundwork for the series. In the meantime, the details of the new project are kept secret, but very soon the D23 exhibition will be held in Anaheim, and it is worth hoping that Disney representatives will open the veil of secrecy.

The Obi-Wan Kenobi Project is the third Star Wars series to be released on Disney +. Last fall, Cassian Andor's solo album was announced, and in November the audience will see The Mandalorian.
