Director Paul Thomas Anderson and Philip Seymour Hoffman, who passed away in 2014, have worked together on five films - "The Fatal Eight", "Boogie Nights", "Magnolia", "Knockdown Love" and "The Master" ... Now Anderson will make a star out of the son of the late actor. It is reported that Cooper Hoffman will star in the director's new project.While the details of the film are kept secret, it is known that its action will unfold in the 70s in the San Fernando Valley, which had previously become the scene of a number of the director's previous works. In the center of the plot will be a high school student, and part-time - a successful child actor, who, in fact, will be played by Cooper Hoffman. Also in the cast of the picture are Bradley Cooper and Ben Safdie. Alana Haim, a singer who collaborated with Anderson on the video clips of her musical group, also joined the project along with Hoffman.  Anderson himself wrote the script for the new film and has already started filming. The project is supervised by MGM studio, but the title and date of the premiere of the film has not yet been given.
