Image The Academy of Sciences has posted shortlists today for nine Academy Award nominations. To the delight of domestic moviegoers, Kantemir Balagov's film Dylda will continue to fight for a place in the list of Best Foreign Language Film. Potential rivals of "Dylda" in the battle for the reward can be: "Parasites" by Pona Joon-ho, "Pain and Glory" by Pedro Almodovar, "Les Miserables" by Laj Lee, "Painted Bird" by Vaclav Markhoul, "Truth and Justice" by Tanel Toom, " Remaining "by Barnabash Toth," Land of Honey "by Tamara Kotevsk and Lubomir Stefanov," Corpus Christi "by Richard Kelly," Atlantic "by Mati Diop.

It's nice that Dylda is not the only USA film that continues to fight for the right to become an Oscar nominee. The short-list of the Best Documentary Films category included Viktor Kosakovsky's film Aquarelle, and Konstantin Bronzit's work “He Can't Live Without Space” was shortlisted for the Best Animated Short Films.

Members of the film academy will have to weed out most of the films, and the final lists of nominees for "Oscar-2020" they will unveil on January 13. The 92nd award ceremony will take place on February 9, 2020.
