Sherlock Holmes and Guy Ritchie are no longer on their way
Guy Ritchie gave Sherlock Holmes a new life on the big screens, but another director was appointed responsible for the next comeback of the legendary detective. Dexter Fletcher, who recently presented Elton John's fantasy biopic to the audience, will take on the biopic of the Baker Street detective.Warner Bros. Studio announced the third part of the Sherlock Holmes franchise back in 2011. All this time, Richie, who shot two films about Sherlock, himself intended to lead the filming of the trickvel, but he seems to be not interested in investigating crimes anymore. The reason for Richie's departure from the project has not been disclosed. And although "Sherlock Holmes III" changed the director, one thing remains unchanged: the role of the title character will be performed by Robert Downey Jr. It is expected that viewers will see Dr. Watson in the triquel, but Jude Law has not officially signed on to shoot the film.  The script of the project is entrusted to Chris Brenketo ("Barygi"). There are no official details of the plot yet, but a few months ago there was a rumor that Holmes and Watson would change the situation and go to San Francisco. Such a move may be quite justified: it will allow the franchise, which disappeared from the field of view of moviegoers eight years ago, to play with style and atmosphere, thereby engaging the audience.
