Versace's killer will go to 40s Hollywood

Image Actor and singer Darren Criss will once again work with director Ryan Murphy, who played a significant role in the young man's career. The star of Losers and American Crime Story, also created by Murphy, has agreed to star in the producer's new series. The project called "Hollywood" will be released on the Netflix platform. What character is assigned to the actor has not yet been announced.

Darren Criss became famous for his role as a teenage singer Blaine in the series about the school choir. Having played the serial killer Andrew Cunenen in the second part of the American Crime Story anthology, the actor received professional recognition and two awards at once - an Emmy and a Golden Globe. In addition, Criss has appeared on television as the Music Master in Supergirl and The Flash.

In a post on Instagram, the actor opened the veil of secrecy over the plot of the series, announcing that the show will tell several stories from the life of Hollywood in the 1940s. Until then, Murphy's fans were content with the information that the story would touch the sex industry and show how everything changed and nothing changed at the same time. The director himself called the idea “a love message to the City of Lights.”

In parallel, Murphy is working on another project for Netflix - the prequel to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest. In addition to Criss, Hollywood stars Jim Parsons, Patty LuPone and Holland Taylor. Filming for the series is set to begin shortly, with a premiere scheduled for spring 2020.
