Chris Pine ("My Name is Night") has begun negotiations about the lead role in the "Saint" reboot, which we wrote about in February. The plot of both the original film and its reboot is based on a series of novels by Leslie Charteris of the 1920s. Dexter Fletcher ("The Rocketman") is appointed director of the new project, the script is written by Seth Graham-Smith, and Lorenzo di Bonaventura is responsible for producing the modern version of "Saint".The protagonist of the series of novels is Simon Templer, nicknamed the Saint, who became the Robin Hood of his time. Traveling all over the world, he steals from dishonest politicians and rich villains and gives money to those who really need them. In the 1960s, the TV series “Saint” was released with Roger Moore in the title role, and in 1997, the image of Simon was tried on in the feature film by Val Kilmer.
