If the killer is an alien
After a great debut, which was District 9, Neil Blomkamp expected a lot. However, his subsequent works, "Elysium: Heaven is not on Earth" and "A Robot Called Chappy," received less enthusiasm from critics. Over the past four years, Blomkamp has not filmed a single full-length film, although there was talk of his involvement in both the new "Alien" and the reboot of "Robocop". The director mainly experimented in short films, but now a new project, the sci-fi thriller Inferno *, is looming on the horizon, and Taylor Kitsch has got the main role in it.In the center of the events of the tape is a policeman who is called to the scene of a crime - a murder was committed in the desert in the state of New Mexico. At first glance, the case seems quite ordinary, but the FBI arrives here, which only confirms the fears of the protagonist: something extraordinary has happened, perhaps even related to aliens. During the hunt for the killer, Kitsch's hero will face a humanoid beast that will stop at nothing to remove the only witness to the crime. Taylor Kitsch is no stranger to the fantasy genre: his filmography includes John Carter and Battleship. The pictures came out several months apart, and both turned out to be a failure, so Blomkamp's more down-to-earth and harsh style may be more suitable for the actor.  Filming for the project should start early next year, and, judging by Blomkamp's social networks, he is already selecting locations.
