Tarantino Will Not Go Star Trek

Image In December 2017, Quentin Tarantino successfully presented an R-rated version of Star Trek to JJ Abrams and Paramount Studios. A few days after the big news was announced, a working group was assembled to promote the idea, and a little later Mark L. Smith was brought in to write the script. Then Tarantino was already filming "Once Upon a Time in ... Hollywood", and therefore announced that he would be able to return to work on the film on the space franchise only after the end of the press tour and, most likely, he would not shoot at all. Apparently, "Once Upon a Time in ... Hollywood" made its own adjustments to Quentin's life. In an interview with Consequence of Sound, Tarantino said that he did not want his tenth and final film to be as massive as Star Trek would be.

“I think I'm leaving the Star Trek project on my own,- said Tarantino, -although I never had an official conversation with the producers of the project.Strange, but it seems to me that `` Once Upon a Time in ... Hollywood '' - my last film. I no longer feel the pressure inside of me that was before. There was a moment when I was writing and asking myself, “Should I do this now? Do I need to do something else? Maybe this is the tenth movie? ” In a strange way, all these thoughts set me free. There is no need to interfere with the movement of the planets. I mean, I have no idea what story will come next. Will it be there at all?

Quentin adds,"I could have thought of something big, but right now I'm much more attracted to the idea of a movie for a small audience."Anyway, any next film by Quentin Tarantino is doomed to become a high-profile project - if only because it will be the last in his career. "Star Trek" could have been an excellent completion of the director's path of the master. However, the intention of the director not to enter the territory of the famous franchise is cause for joy: if the tenth (according to the Tarantino counter) picture is still there, it will be an original story, and in this Quentin never let us down.
