Daisy Ridley will fix the mistakes of the past
Daisy Ridley, Christine Scott Thomas and Nina Hoss will star in the war drama Women in the Castle, based on the 2017 bestselling book of the same name by Jessica Shettuck. The adaptation of the original was done by Jane Anderson ("The Wife"), she will also lead the shooting.The film is described as a heartbreaking and hopeful story of secrets, survival and the amazing power of forgiveness, set in the ruins of World War II in Germany. Three women, bound by the same past and clinging to each other for the sake of the future, will face the realities of liberating the country from the oppression of the Nazis and the consequences of previously made decisions that cannot be undone. The film is produced by Rosalie Swadlin, who worked with Anderson on The Wife, as well as Doreen Wilcox Little, Michael Sheel and Anonymous Content.
