Love knows no prejudice
Netflix is strengthening its position in the international arena. We recently reported that the online giant has expanded its collaboration with Korean studios, and today it has struck a promising deal in the Scandinavian market. Netflix has teamed up with the producers of The Bridge to film the Swedish bestseller Winter Bay.Mats Valya's novel was published in 1993. In the center of its plot is a poor black guy John-John, who falls in love with a girl from a wealthy family. The project by Netflix and the Scandinavian studio Filmlance International will be the second film adaptation of the book: in 1996, "Winter Bay" became the basis for the script of the romantic drama by Harald Hamrell. The new film adaptation will be titled "Winter Bay 2021". Apparently, the creators of the picture will keep the main storylines, but transfer the action to our days.
