In April of this year, it became known that due to the coronavirus pandemic, the popular domestic film festival "Kinotavr" will take place not traditionally in the summer, but in the fall. Now the specific dates of the festival have become known - from 11 to 18 September, as well as some details of its organization. The main news is that the Kinotavr format will remain the same.“It was important for us to keep the film festival in its traditional form - no online formats. After all, Kinotavr Is not only about showing films. These are contacts, exchange of ideas, interaction, mutual influence of cinema people. This is a platform where filmmakers can find producers, investors, distributors ... This is a huge audience, and this is a socially significant project: every evening, thousands of spectators came to the square in front of the Winter Theater and watched a movie even in the rain ... The cinema has too many advantages, which are not on small screens”, - said the program director of the festival Sitora Aliyeva. Last year, the budget of the 30th Kinotavr was almost 180 million rubles. And if earlier the festival gathered about four thousand people at its venues, now, in the light of new requirements, the number of visitors may significantly decrease.
