Film experts have selected the best films made by women
The British Broadcasting Corporation continues to delight viewers with interesting film ratings. In 2015, she named the best American films, and in 2017 - the funniest world comedies. Now the BBC has presented a rating of pictures taken by lovely ladies.The list was compiled based on the results of a survey of 368 critics, journalists and film festival staff from 84 countries. The BBC ratings have spanned over a hundred years, from Lois Weber's The Shoe to this year's films. The legendary Agnes Varda is most often mentioned in the list: six films of a French woman are included in the hundred of the most striking works of the fair sex. Fans of USA cinema also have reason to be proud. The eleventh line is taken by Larisa Shepitko's "Ascent", and the 48th and 59th places are occupied by Kira Muratova's tapes - "Asthenic syndrome" and "Long farewell", respectively.
