Fuel won the short film at Kinotavr-2019
At the thirtieth Sochi Film Festival "Kinotavr" the first winners of the "Short Meter" competition appeared. Mikhail Arkhipov's short film "Fuel" won the main prize of the competition. The film tells about a man who is looking for diesel fuel for his tractor, but finds only resistance to the merciless elements. A young actor Nikita Kukushkin ("Attraction") appeared in the role of a tractor driver.Paulina Andreeva (Method) received a diploma from the jury for the accurate rendering of black in comedy "I Cry With You" about the funeral mourner. And the film by Elizaveta Stishova "@ the Groom" was awarded a diploma with the wording "It was fun." Ivan Sosnin also received a diploma from the Guild of Historians of Cinema and Film Critics for the film Interview. The film by the nominee for the 2016 Berlin Film Festival, Mikhail Mestetsky, "One Historical Mistake" received a prize from the Guild of Cinema Experts, and the RuArts Foundation presented a cash prize to Ivan Tverdovsky for his work "Peaceful Life". The jury consisted of: Alexey Chupov ("Gogol. Beginning"), Natalya Merkulova ("Salute-7"), writer Mikhail Zygar and actor Alexander Pal ("Hardcore"). The competition was chaired by Anna Mikhalkova (“Portraying the Victim”). The actress said that the work on the jury was very difficult, and she would never agree to it again.  The Kinotavr festival has been held in Sochi since 1991. This year it will run from June 9 to June 16; People's Artist of USA Konstantin Khabensky was the chairman of the jury of the main competition.
