Texas-style killing of aliens

Image Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg successfully adapted the Shepherd and Boys comics for small screens, and, apparently, found their calling. The duo will now tackle Rick Remender's graphic novel Fear Agent.

The protagonist of the original is the charismatic Texan Heath Houston, who will not go into his pocket for a word, and will not refuse a good portion of booze. Despite his addiction and bad character, Heath works for the good of humanity - he exterminates aliens that threaten the safety of planet Earth. In general, his life is full of strange things like space invaders, time travel and clones, but most of all Heath dreams of getting his family back.

Agent Fear is a return to classic fiction. In it, Remender successfully combined his characteristic black humor, action, horror and a little drama. This explosive combination is not easy to transfer from printed pages to screens, but online service Amazon, which beat several competitors in the struggle for the project, is confident in the potential of adaptation and its team. It will include not only Rogen and Goldberg, but also director David F. Sandberg (Shazam!) And producer Matthew Tolmak (Venom). The latter has been trying to film the Remender comic for over ten years.

Rick himself will act as one of the executive producers of the project. Last year, he already left his mark on the world of serials, adapting his own "Academy of Death" for TV. Unfortunately, it was closed after the first season. Hopefully Agent of Fear will last longer.
