MWM Studios Films A Growing Book
MWM Studios, which gave the world 21 Bridges and Motherless Brooklyn, is planning to film a so far unnamed series based on a novel by writer Emma Straub called All Adults Here. The author of the series "Girls" Sarah Hayard will help the author with the adaptation of the book for TV screens and with the production work.All Adults Here is about the wonderful chaos in the life of a large family - elderly parents, older siblings, high school boys, nasty schoolgirls - and everything that the heroes take with them into adulthood, whether they like it or not. The book is set in the Hudson Valley town, inhabited by quirky characters. Straub explores and wittily describes everyday life in the provinces and what it is like to live an adult life in the same place where you grew up. The novel raises serious questions about parenting, fear of death and regret, and what it means to be a family in all its forms. In addition to the book mentioned, two more works by Straub were included in the New York Times bestseller list and received the title of "Book of the Year 2016" by several authoritative Western media. Hayard, in turn, boasts an Emmy award for Girls, in-demand original scripts, and close collaborations with leading content providers (Amazon, Netflix and FX). Previously, MWM Studios produced the documentary series Genius, which won two Emmy awards, and will shortly present the film My Spy starring Dave Batista on Amazon.
