Ministry of Culture will allocate money for cartoons

Image The Expert Council for Animated Films under the Ministry of Culture of the USA Federation has announced a list of projects that will receive government subsidies this year. The list includes 50 animated films and cartoons, of which ten are from Soyuzmultfilm Studio, which plans to release new episodes of Merry Carousel, The Adventures of Petit and the Wolf and Umka.

Also, help from the department will receive the authors of such popular animated series as "Luntik and his friends", "Malyshariki", "Mountain of Gems" and others. A total of 128 projects were considered at the council. Of these, 83 are children's films (50 selected), 45 are original animation films, of which 26 projects were selected.

The Department of Cinematography was recommended to keep nine applicants for state subsidies in reserve. The full list of projects that will receive state support can be found on the agency's website.
