The illness of his wife played a decisive role in the work of Louis. Once the artist noticed that Emily managed to overcome pain when a cat named Peter came to her arms. Wayne decided to devote several drawings to the four-legged healer. Shortly before her death, Emily asked her husband to arrange an exhibition of these works. As a result, Louis gained worldwide fame and painted many more paintings with cats and cats. Love for animals played a cruel joke with the artist: modern scientists believe that at the end of his career Wayne contracted toxoplasmosis and began to suffer from schizophrenia.

The drama about the life of a British artist will receive a simple and concise title - "Louis Wayne". Cumberbatch will not only perform the title role, but also act as the producer of the film. Emily will be portrayed by Golden Globe winner Claire Foy (Crown, Man in the Moon).
