Ethan Hunt meets old acquaintances
Good news came from Hollywood. Paramount Studios is preparing to resume filming of the seventh and eighth installments of the Mission: Impossible spy franchise. On this occasion, director Christopher McQuarrie announced the names of the next participants in the ambitious film project.Ethan Hunt can count on the help of Luther Stickell and the White Widow, to whose images Wing Rhames and Vanessa Kirby will return, respectively. The first is among the main old-timers of the franchise: only he and Tom Cruise have appeared in all previous "Missions". As for Kirby, her character made her debut in the sixth part - "Aftermath". The studio previously announced the return of Tom Cruise, Rebecca Ferguson, Simon Pegg, and Henry Cerny. The veterans of the spy shop will be accompanied by new recruits from the film series Hayley Atwell, Pom Clementieff, Shay Wiigham and Nicholas Hoult.  Recall that the creation of the seventh and eighth "Missions" will take place simultaneously. Preliminary filming began in the spring, but soon McQuarrie's team had to curtail their work in Italy due to the outbreak of the coronavirus. It was rumored that Paramount would move filming to another country, but Tom Cruise suggested waiting until the quarantine was lifted and returning to Venice.
