About a year ago, Spyglass Entertainment announced its readiness to summon HellRaiser again. Now, Pinhead has found a man who is not afraid of meeting sadistic demons: David Bruckner has been chosen as the director of the reboot.The director has extensive experience in the horror genre. Bruckner directed separate segments of the anthologies Z / L / O and Monsters of the South, as well as the horror film Ritual, which was released a couple of years ago on Netflix. At the Sundance Festival in January, Bruckner unveiled his new film, The House of the Night. He still hasn't made it to the theaters, but he scared the critics. Now the HellRaiser franchise has ten films. Of course, the most popular was the original film by Clive Barker. Its main character, Frank, acquired a mysterious box that turned out to be a portal to hell. Opening it, the man released the Cenobite demons and their leader Pinhead. "HellRaiser" is a non-standard horror film for its time, and only the second part got close to it. All other sequels fall short of them, and the last, by the way, was released not so long ago - in 2018. True, HellRaiser 10: The Verdict passed the theaters and went straight to video.  While one can only guess what the plot of the new "HellRaiser" will be. The reboot is scripted by David S. Goyer (The Dark Knight).
