The first information about the film Don't Look Up appeared in November, and now it became known that it was hosted by the online service Netflix. Moreover, McKay has already found the star of his new film - Jennifer Lawrence will play the main role.The tape is described as a satirical comedy, filmed in the spirit of "Cheating", "Doctor Strangelove" and "Network". The main characters will be two ordinary astronomers who make a large-scale discovery: in six months the Earth will be destroyed by a meteorite. They are forced to organize an entire media tour to tell everyone about the impending disaster. McKay likes to ridicule the system's flaws, its inefficiency and venality, so the main characters' mission will probably not go according to plan. McKay's film not only quickly found a distributor, but may also be released this year. Filming is reportedly starting in April, and Netflix bosses are likely counting on the comedy to join the Oscar race.  It is noteworthy that Adam McKay and Jennifer Lawrence have long wanted to work together, but the drama "Feud" is stuck at the stage of writing the script, and it is not known whether it will even make it to the screens.
