USAn Box Office Reveals The Secret Of The Dragon Seal
The weekend in the USA box office turned out to be calm: the past weekend practically did not yield to the previous one in terms of fees - 495.5 million rubles were accumulated in the box offices of cinemas. Distributors hoped for more, but The Secret of the Dragon's Seal fell short of expectations and became the main culprit behind the shortfall in funds. The rest of the new items also did not differ much.The top five for the weekend (September 19-22) is as follows: 1. "The Secret of the Dragon's Seal"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 179.2 million rubles. Total fees: 195.6 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) Oleg Stepchenko's film is a continuation of his own "Viy", but unlike the last, "The Secret of the Dragon's Seal" was positioned as a family movie. If we compare the tape with representatives of this genre, then it surpassed "The Secret of the House with a Clock" (123.2 million rubles), but lost to the fairy tale "The Nutcracker and Four Kingdoms" (189.8 million rubles). The problem is that a whopping 2.8 billion rubles were spent on the filming of Secrets of the Dragon's Seal, and it is not possible to recapture them at home. Moreover, the sequel significantly lost to Viy, which collected RUB 602.7 million on the first weekend. 2. "It 2"  Week at the box office: 3 Added: 76.1 million rubles. Total fees: 1.07 billion rubles. Sank / Rise: -1 (-64.2%) Horror lost only one position in the financial rating in a week and became a billionaire. Now "It 2" is close to the result of the first part and we can confidently say that the sequel will surpass its predecessor. 3. "Strippers"  Week at the box office: 2 Added: 38.5 million rubles. Total fees: RUB 125.2 million. Sank / Rise: -1 (-35.6%) The drama of Loreen Skafaria lost only a third of its viewers in a week, despite the fact that distributors offered movie fans a lot of new products for every taste and color. Now the Strippers have more than RUB 125 million in their pockets, and very soon they will bypass Very Bad Mommies 2 (RUB 136.7 million) from the same STX studio. 4. "Rambo: Last Blood"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 29.5 million rubles. Total fees: 29.5 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) John Rambo again went on the warpath, but the USA spectators were not too interested in the adventures of the gallant Sylvester Stallone. The fifth part of the popular franchise yielded to the fourth, which mastered 38.8 million rubles at the start, but it bypassed the Snow Blower (23.7 million rubles) and the recent Fall of the Angel (27.3 million rubles). 5. "Yesterday"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 27.7 million rubles. Total fees: 27.7 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) Danny Boyle's musical drama was released in the US a few months ago, and while it was getting to USA cinemas, the audience's interest in it finally faded away. The tape showed one of the worst attendance rates and could not catch up with either Rocketman (29.4 million rubles) or Boyle's previous film, T2 Trainspotting (Trainspotting 2) (29.9 million rubles).
