John Cleese will tame a giant dog
British screen veteran John Cleese ("Monty Python and the Holy Grail") and Sienna Guillory ("Love Actually") have joined the cast of Paramount's new project Clifford the Big Red Dog. The filming will be directed by director Walt Becker, who has distinguished himself in the genre of comedy with films such as "Real Boars" and "So-So Vacation", and the plot of the film will be based on the works of Norman Bridwell.His books tell about the adventures and misadventures of a giant red dog and his mistress, a girl named Emily Elizabeth. In a future movie, Emily finds a cute puppy and decides to keep it for herself. But the puppy will start to grow too fast and grow to such a size that it attracts the attention of a genetics company. Emily and her uncle Casey will have to take the big red Clifford and go on the run around New York with him. The role of the girl went to the young actress Darby Camp ("Benji"), and her uncle will be played by Jack Whitehall, who was recently seen as Newton Impulsifer in the new series "Good Omens".
