For a long time it seemed that the Hollywood film adaptation of the "Battle Angel" manga would never make it to the screens, because the project has been in the work of James Cameron since 1997. At some point, the director realized that he had no time for Alita, and handed over the reins to Robert Rodriguez. As a result, the blockbuster "Alita: Battle Angel" hit theaters last year, unexpectedly earning positive reviews from critics and fans of the original manga.At the same time, Rodriguez's film did not reach great heights in financial terms: he earned $ 405 million with a massive budget of $ 170 million.
