The tape subsequently acquired an unsuccessful sequel, and the Broadway musical based on the novel also failed. In 2013, another full-length version of Carrie was released, called Telekinesis, with Chloe Grace Moretz in the title role. In the early 2000s, a television film hit the screens, which, according to the producers, was supposed to lay the foundation for the series, which tells about Carrie's adventures after she left her hometown. However, this idea was never realized.
