King's Rebirth Coming to the Screens
Just a few days ago, Mike Flanagan agreed with Netflix to create a new series. The director worked well with the online service, but his adaptations of Stephen King's works are no less successful, which the Warner Bros. studio decided to use. Major entrusted Flanagan with the script of the film based on the novel "Renaissance".So far, Flanagan is listed only as a screenwriter and producer of the project, but the WB management left him the right to choose: if in the future Mike wants to lead the shooting himself, the studio will not interfere. King's Rebirth was published relatively recently - in 2014. When a young priest arrived in a small town in Maine, Jamie Morton played with soldiers on the lawn. The Reverend Charles Jacobs and his beautiful wife breathed new life into the local church, but a terrible tragedy caused the priest to turn his back on God. Jamie, on the other hand, became a musician, became addicted to heroin and did not expect to see Jacobs again, carried away by experiments with electricity. Fate, however, had other plans ...  Flanagan successfully adapted two of King's novels, Gerald's Game and Doctor Sleep. The latter, however, flopped at the box office, but received good reviews from critics, and "Gerald's Game" was considered a work that was not suitable for a film. So Flanagan is not without reason reputed to be one of the best when it comes to film adaptations of the King of Horrors.
