USAn box office sinks with toys
Last weekend, the preferences of the USAs coincided with the choice of American viewers, but the redistribution of roles in the top 5 domestic distribution was somewhat different than in the United States. At the same time, distributors are just right to sound the alarm: movie theaters revenues have decreased again and amounted to only 461.6 million rubles. Such low figures in the USA box office have not been observed since April, when the premiere of the final "Avengers" was pushed back to Monday.The top five for the weekend (June 20-23) is as follows: 1. "Toy Story 4"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 155.2 million rubles. Total fees: 155.2 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) If in native cinemas the fourth part of the popular franchise showed quite a decent result, then in USA the cartoon got miserable crumbs. Of course, the quadriquel has collected more than the rest of its brothers in the film series, the last of which came out already in 2010, but the tape is one of the worst of the latest Pixar creations. Only "Good Dinosaur" (144.2 million rubles) started weaker here. 2. "Men in Black: International"  Week at the box office: 2 Added: 102.7 million rubles. Total fees: 510.7 million rubles. Sank / Rise: -1 (-57.4%) Strange as it may seem, but the Men in Black spin-off is holding up well - the recent Godzilla 2: King of the Monsters and X-Men: Dark Phoenix sagged by 70% in the second week. Analysts believe that the final result of the action-packed blockbuster will fluctuate between 630-640 million rubles. 3. "The Secret Life of Pets 2"  Week at the box office: 4 Added: 51.7 million rubles. Total fees: 1.44 billion rubles. Sank / Rise: -1 (-58.2%) The Illumination cartoon received a serious competitor in the face of Toy Story 4, but did not lose face. The gap from the first part remains at the level of 30%, and the final result is 39th in the list of the highest grossing films in the history of the USA box office. 4. "Aladdin"  Week at the box office: 5 Added: 39.1 million rubles. Total fees: 1.26 billion rubles. Sank / Rise: -1 (-48.1%) Guy Ritchie's film has already surpassed Alice in Wonderland (1.25 billion rubles) and is gradually approaching the result of The Jungle Book (1.36 billion rubles), the most successful project in the USA box office of all Disney game remakes. 5. "Children's games"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 33.1 million rubles. Total fees: 33.1 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) Horror by Lars Klevberg started rather poorly - on par with the recent horror film "Ma" (32.8 million rubles), which was also not in demand among moviegoers.
