Power Rangers prepare to attack
Released in 2017, Power Rangers earned good reviews, but Dean Israelite's blockbuster failed at the box office, and Lionsgate had to abandon ambitious plans to create a whole hexalog of films. Hasbro took over the brand last year and is now working with Paramount to bring Power Rangers back to the screens.Earlier there were rumors that Hasbro might decide to shoot a sequel to the 2017 tape, but according to recent reports, the new Power Rangers is another attempt to reboot the franchise. There will be an element of time travel in the film: teenage characters will go to the 90s, and in the best traditions of the movie "Back to the Future" they will have to find their way home. Jonathan Entwistle, best known for his work on World's End, was invited to direct the reboot. The latter successfully combines elements of drama and black comedy, and to balance the dark and realistic style of Entwistle, the bosses of Paramount assigned the duties of the screenwriter to Patrick Burleigh, who is well familiar with the genre of family cinema.  There is no information yet about when the new Power Rangers will be released and who the producers see in the main roles.
