Netflix Expands the Cyberpunk 2077 Universe
Great news for fans of TV, cyberpunk and the gaming industry. Online service Netflix has teamed up with studio Trigger and gaming corporation CD Projekt Red on an anime series based on the upcoming action RPG Cyberpunk 2077.The game aroused the interest of gamers even at the production stage, when the Polish studio CD Projekt Red joined in its development, giving the world the cult franchise about The Witcher. The army of Cyberpunk 2077 fans continued to grow when its creators announced a deal with Keanu Reeves to bring voice and looks to one of the key characters in the story. The game is scheduled for release on November 19. Today it became known that the Cyberpunk universe will be replenished with an anime series with the subtitle Edgerunners ("Runners along the edge"). The main character of the novelty will be an ordinary teenager from the metropolis of the future, dreaming of becoming a highly paid mercenary.  The production of the animated series was entrusted to the Japanese animator Hiroyuki Imaisi ("Gurren Lagann"). Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will premiere in 2022.
