Tomie Manga to Become a TV Series

Image Despite the fact that the launch of the Quibi platform was not as successful as its creators expected, the service continues to replenish its collection of projects. This time, Quibi's management has launched an adaptation of the horror manga Tomie.

As in the case with other series of the platform, a stellar team will be engaged in the adaptation of the graphic novel: the project is supervised by director and producer Alexander Azha, whose track record includes horror films "The Hills Have Eyes", "Piranhas 3D" and "Trap", and the script " Tomie "is handled by David Leslie Johnson, who worked on Aquaman.

The new project presents us the story of a beautiful high school girl who disappeared on one - not at all beautiful - day. Soon, parts of her body are found all over the city, and what started as a mysterious murder suddenly turns into something more horrible. The role of the sinister heroine went to Adeline Rudolph ("Chilling Adventures of Sabrina").

For the first time, the story of Tomye was born in 1987, and since then the Japanese have adapted the manga on the big screen more than once: the Tomie franchise now has as many as nine films.
