James Wang will create his monster
The success of The Invisible Man propelled Universal Studios to new heights, and now the Major is encouraging filmmakers to come up with unusual ideas for projects that involve classic monsters. The renowned horror master James Wang will also create his own monster for the studio.Wang is producing an unnamed "Paranoia" horror film for Universal. Its plot will revolve around a group of teenagers who one day find out that their neighbor is creating a monster in his basement. According to the laws of the genre, the creature escapes, and real chaos begins ... The plot of the film about a man and his monster-like creation evokes associations with the history of Frankenstein, but at the moment the project is not positioned as a modern version of Mary Shelley's work. The script of the tape will be written by Robbie Thompson ("Supernatural"), but who will lead the shooting is still unknown. At the moment, James Wang plans to limit himself to production functions.
