USAn Box Office: The Bad Boys Maintain the Status Quo
Despite the abundance of premieres at the box office, the USA box office is going through hard times: last weekend, films from the top 20 earned a total of RUB 684 million, which is the worst result since November. I am glad at least that three new products of the week did not disappoint at once and made it to the top five of the financial rating.The top 5 box offices in USA at the end of the weekend (January 30 - February 2) are as follows: 1. Bad Boys Forever  Week at the box office: 2 Added: 156.1 million rubles. Total fees: 570.3 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-50.7%) The weekend turned out to be rather weak, and the "Bad Boys" triquel retained the palm without any problems. The fees of the third part after two weeks of rental have already exceeded the final result of "John Wick 3" (486.2 million rubles), and soon the last Three X's (590.8 million rubles) will also fall. 2. "1917"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 113.9 million rubles. Total fees: 113.9 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) Oscar ambitions and good reviews in the press clearly elevated the novelty in the eyes of domestic moviegoers, although analysts do not deny that the debut numbers of "1917" are not so high. For example, the drama failed to repeat the starting results of Rage (157 million rubles) and Dunkirk (145.1 million rubles). 3. "Coma"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 82.7 million rubles. Total fees: 82.7 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) Nikita Argunov's fantastic action movie earned quite good reviews and even attracted the attention of foreign producers, but the lack of proper advertising support and the constant postponement of the premiere date negatively affected the film's collection. The first teaser for "Coma" appeared more than four years ago, and since then the excitement around the film has subsided. Now the 250 million budget will have to be worked out at the international box office. 4. "Slave"  Week at the box office: 6 Added: 74.2 million rubles. Total fees: RUB 3.04 billion. Sank / Rise: -2 (-39.5%) "Kholop" had to part with the second place, but the loss is small, considering that the comedy overcame the three-billion mark on the weekend, and on Monday it became the highest-grossing tape of domestic production, bypassing "Movement Up". Only Avatar collected more from us (3.64 billion rubles). 5. "Little Women"  Week at the box office: 1 Added: 69.1 million rubles. Total fees: 69.1 million rubles. Sank / Rise: - (-) The drama of Greta Gerwig is also a participant in the Oscar race, but the ambitions of the film adaptation turned out to be more modest than those of "1917". Although it is worth noting that Little Women started much better than Favorite (33.1 million rubles) and Two Queens (32.2 million rubles), while the latter did not complain about poor fees.
