Johnny English 3.0 Director Meets Irish Santa

Image Director David Kerr, who directed the comedy "Agent Johnny English 3.0", signed up for a new project in the same genre. He was invited to lead the filming of an Irish Christmas film called Joy To The World ("To the glory of the world *"). The script was written by Ronan Blainey, best known for his Academy Award-nominated, BAFTA-winning 2014 film Boogaloo and Graham.

Kerr's new comedy will focus on a child who becomes disillusioned with Christmas after a local bank is robbed by a villain dressed as Santa. During a sad walk through the forest, the protagonist will meet another Santa, who claims that he is real, just fell out of the sleigh when he flew across the sky. They will become friends and go on an adventure together.

The comedy is produced by Kate McColgan of Calico Pictures and Vivienne Muller-Rommel of Studio Hamburg UK and is financially supported by the Irish Film Board, Northern Ireland Screen and BFI. Casting for the main roles is currently underway.
