Over the next couple of years, Showtime will renew its lineup of original dramas, replacing proven hits like Rodina and Shameless with ambitious new releases. Adaptations of the video game Halo and the novels about the talented Mr. Ripley are at various stages of development, and now the network has brought in two Hollywood stars to the process of creating new content - director Taiku Waititi and actor Jude Law.Waititi and Lowe intend to develop a miniseries The Auteur for Showtime. Its details are still kept secret, but insiders managed to find out that the project is a satire on Hollywood, which will reveal the whole ins and outs of the industry through the prism of a story about an eccentric filmmaker. The latter will be played by Jude Law. The two-time Oscar nominee will also be co-producing the show alongside Waititi. Taika will lead the production of at least one episode and will co-write the script with Peter Warren (Phantom Squad). One can only marvel at how Waititi, the newly minted Oscar winner for Jojo Rabbit, does everything. Now he is preparing for the premiere of the sports drama "The next goal is the victorious", and after that he will switch to the fourth "Torah". At the same time, the filmmaker also manages to engage in acting: he will appear in the comedy "The Main Character" and the blockbuster "Suicide Squad".
