Ghost of the Night owl Club
Netflix and Mike Flanagan have worked together to create the critically acclaimed Haunting of Hill House series. The director is already preparing the second season of the horror, and his cooperation with the online service will not end there. Flanegan is also filming Christopher Pike's book The Midnight Club * for Netflix.The original, published in 1994, is set in a hospital for terminally ill adolescents. A group of patients begins to gather in the evenings to share scary stories with each other. They agree that the first of them to die will try to establish contact with the rest of the afterlife. The source says that the plot of the new series will be based not only on the "Night owls Club": the writers will borrow stories from other works of Pike. Flanegan himself is writing the screenplay with Lea Fong (The Magicians).  If Stephen King wrote books exclusively about dead cheerleaders and the creepy adventures of high school students, he would be in the same literary boat with Christopher Pike.
