The Studio That Loved Stephen King

Image On the street of Stephen King fans, there is a holiday again: Dream Factory has moved another film adaptation of the King of Horrors off the ground. This time Hollywood will send the heroes of the psychological horror film “The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordon” to the screens.

The original novel was published in 1999 and made its way to the Publishers Weekly bestseller list. In the center of the plot is nine-year-old Trisha, who lost her way during a family walk in the woods. The girl does not yet suspect that the hallucination of baseball player Tom Gordon and something truly sinister awaits her more often ...

George A. Romero took an interest in adapting the bestselling book, but in the end he never managed to get the film into production. After the director's death, the rights to the book passed to one of his ex-wives, Christine Forrest. Last year, LostFilm.INFO reported that she was trying to revive the film project. Today it became known that Christine has found a serious partner in the person of the Village Roadshow studio.

The producers also decided on the name of the film's screenwriter. Christy Hall (“I Don't Like This”) is on a journey through the Stephen King universe.
