Mark Zakharov died
Tragic news came from the capital of our Motherland. In Moscow, at the age of 86, director, actor and screenwriter Mark Zakharov died. Director of "Lenkom" Mark Varshaver announced the death of the master of USA cinema and theater.Mark Anatolyevich Zakharov was born on October 13, 1933. After graduating from the acting department of GITIS, he worked for several years at the Perm Drama Theater. It was in Perm that Zakharov became interested in directing for the first time, having begun to collaborate with the amateur theater group at the local university. In 1959, Mark returned to his native Moscow. After several successful performances for the Student Theater of Moscow State University, he was invited first to the Moscow Theater of Satire, and then to the Lenin Komsomol Theater. Zakharov has served as the chief director of Lenkom since 1973. The most famous works of the director in the theatrical field were the performances "Not on the lists", "The guy from our city", "Crazy day, or The Marriage of Figaro", "The Seagull", "Jester Balakirev", "The Cherry Orchard" and, of course, "Juno and Avos".  In the mid-60s, Zakharov began to be invited to film and television. In 1966, Mark made his debut as a screenwriter, inventing a plot for the satirical magazine "Fit", and three years later, he had a hand in the cult "White Sun of the Desert." Few people know that it was Mark Anatolyevich who wrote the text of the famous letters of the Red Army soldier Sukhov. In the filmography of Zakharov, the screenwriter, you can find many more famous paintings, including "Sannikov's Land", "The Captivating Star of Happiness" and "Prisoner of the If Castle". Mark Anatolyevich also showed himself as a brilliant filmmaker, having shot films "An Ordinary Miracle", "The Same Munchausen", "Formula of Love", "12 Chairs" ...
