75 years ago in Berlin, representatives of the German High Command signed an act of unconditional surrender. On May 9, celebrations in honor of the Victory began in Moscow, and in September a general Victory Parade of the USSR and the allied countries was held in Berlin. In honor of the great Victory, Gaijin Entertainment has prepared a large-scale reconstruction of it. The Virtual Victory Parade took place inside War Thunder - an online game that faithfully recreates the military equipment of that era and beyond. The video can be viewed on the War Thunder YouTube channel.|
In the historic Berlin Victory Parade, thousands of soldiers and officers of the armies of the USSR, USA, Great Britain and France marched in one formation, and solemn speeches were given by Marshal Georgy Zhukov, General George Patton, Major General Brian Robertson and General Marie-Pierre Koenig. It was one of those few moments in history when almost all of humanity felt like one whole.
“75 years ago, the whole world rejoiced at the victory over incredible evil, which was won thanks to common efforts. It is especially important to remember this now, when the world must unite again for the sake of defeating a new enemy that threatens humanity ", - says Anton Yudintsev, founder of Gaijin Entertainment .
The virtual parade in War Thunder reproduces the historical parade as faithfully as possible within the game, and the samples of military equipment look the same as 75 years ago. The only major addition is the air force part of the event. Only ground vehicles took part in the historical parade, but the virtual version also includes the flight of combat aircraft. So the Gaijin Entertainment team decided to pay tribute to the memory of the pilots of the Jacob, Mustang and Spitfire, who fought and won in World War II.
