French filmmakers know a lot about romantic stories. They sometimes use non-standard methods to talk about love, friendship and feelings of the heroes. The painting "Life on Rewind" is a vivid proof of this.Max was 13 years old when he was presented with the first video camera. For a quarter of a century, he filmed everything that happened to him and his friends - acquaintances, girls, successes, failures. Now Max is 38, and he is reviewing the footage that captures most of his life and a portrait of a whole generation ... An extraordinary love story between the main characters unfolds before the eyes of the viewer. Director Anthony Marciano (Singles in Separation) tells it with humor, without forgetting the wonderful dialogues. The director's idea was to invite actors who had not yet become familiar to the audience for the main roles. Max was played by Max Bublil, who is also one of the scriptwriters of the tape. The role of his girlfriend Emma went to Alice Isaaz (“This Awkward Moment”), who, as Marciano admits, has the wonderful ability to always look young.
