Sony believes in Black Cat

Image The Sony Corporation continues to develop its own cinematic universe based on the Marvel comics. The studio is currently filming a film about the vampire Morbius and plans to work on a sequel to Venom. Today it became known that Sony is also preparing surprises for fans of stories about the fighting friends of Spider-Man.

In the spring of 2017, the studio announced the Silver and Black tape about the joint adventures of superheroines nicknamed Silver Sable and Black Cat. The script for the film was written by Christopher Yost ("Thor: Ragnarok"), and her director's chair was to be taken by Gina Prince-Bytwood ("Cloak and Dagger"). To the disappointment of fans of movie comics, the studio unexpectedly curtailed work on the project last summer. The news came as consolation for the audience that each of Peter Parker's partners will receive their own film.

Franchise producer Amy Pascal announced today that Sony has not completely abandoned the idea of creating a buddy movie. "We're still working on the Silver and Black tape," Pascal assured fans.

Perhaps the Sony management wants to first release solo albums, and only then bring the superheroines into a picture based on Yost's script. Pascal hinted that the tape about the Black Cat would be the first to go to work. “Felicia Hardy is an amazing heroine, Amy said. “She has already appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man: High Voltage, but then we didn’t show her as the Black Cat.”

In the 2014 blockbuster, Felicia was played by Felicity Jones. Pascal has not yet begun to say whether the Englishwoman will receive an offer to return to her familiar role. It is highly likely that the studio will prefer to use another actress in the solo album.

Earlier it became known that Sony also plans to create films about Craven the Hunter, Nightwatch, Cindy Moon and the Sinister Six.
