Lily James will start robbing banks
Lily James, star of Baby Drive and Yesterday, has signed on for the upcoming crime drama Peggy Joe, based in part on true events.For potential buyers, the project is positioned as a tape about the real Bonnie, but without Clyde. James will play Peggy Joe Tallas, who has committed more than one bank robbery. Inspired by the plot of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid and wanting to financially support her family, she began raiding banks. The more fearless Peggy became, the more furiously she was pursued by the quick-witted FBI agent. According to the bureau, Peggy is one of the most unusual robbers of her generation: she made criminal raids alone, disguised as a man, and even without a weapon.
