The adaptation of Metal Gear Solid has found a writer
According to Deadline , Sony Pictures has appointed Jay Basu (Project Dinosaur, Monsters 2: Dark Continent) to script the adaptation of the popular video game series Metal Gear Solid .The first draft of the script was written by David Hayter (Guardians) back in 2008, but a few years ago, Sony management froze the project. In June last year, work on the film was resumed, and Jordan Vogt-Roberts (Kings of Summer) received an invitation to take the director's chair. In the center of the plot of the first game in the series was themercenary Solid Snake , who entered into a confrontation with the soldiers of the special forces Foxhound , who attacked the base for the disposal of nuclear weapons.  Currently, Jay is also working on a script for one of the films of the new cinematic universe Universal , the main characters of which will be the famous monsters of the studio.
