Casting: The Salinger Life and the Hippie Communities
As it became known to the journalists of the edition Variety , Nicholas Hoult will play the main role in the biopic of the writer J.D. Salinger, dubbed Rebel in the Rye ( Rebel in the Rye *).The film will be directed from his own script by Danny Strong, who has adapted the book by Kenneth Slavensky Walking Through the Rye . The project is produced by Molly Smith, Trent and Ted Luckinbilla, Bruce Cohen, Jason Schuman and Strong himself. Salinger led a reclusive lifestyle, but thanks to this film viewers will be able to learn about his youth, participation in World War II, as well as how the great writer came to create his most famous work - a novel about growing up Catcher in the Rye .  Recent films by Nicholas Hoult include the action movie Mad Max: Fury Road and the thriller Dark Mysteries, and soon these films will be shown at the Toronto International Film Festival featuring an actor like Kill Your Friends and Equals.   Missy Pyle ("The Artist") and Joseph Lawrence ( Melissa & Joey ) signed up for the drama Emma's Chance ( Emma's Chance *), which will be the directorial debut for screenwriter Anna Elizabeth James. In the center of the picture is a girl named Emma (Greer Grammer), who is involved in community activities on a horse rescue farm. Here, the heroine makes an unusual friendship with a horse named Chance , thanks to which she subsequently radically reconsiders her own views on life and finds the strength to speak out against the ill-wishers of the ranch. The cast also includes Ryan McCartan, Christina Robinson and Amber Montana.  Finally, Katherine Monnig will join Sophia Mitri Schloss on the set of Lane 1974 ( Street 1974 *), based on the memoir of Clain Hayward The Hypocrisy of Disco ( Fake Disco ). The protagonist is a 13-year-old girl ( Schloss ) struggling to conform to the rules of the eccentric hippie community to which her mother belongs ( Monnig ). In the director's chair is S.J.
