Uncharted film adaptation left without director

Image The long-awaited adaptation of the Uncharted video game series, which Sony has been involved in for over five years, is struggling again. Collider reports that director Seth Gordon has left the project.

Over the years, the film has changed several directors, including David O. Russell ("American Scam") and Neil Berger ("Areas of Darkness"), and Mark Wahlberg and Nathan Fillion were expected to star in the film adaptation at various times. When, in 2014, Seth Gordon (Obnoxious Bosses) agreed to lead the shooting according to the script of Mark Boal ("Goal number one"), it seemed that the project got off the ground, and the studio bosses even decided on the date premieres of the picture.

However, according to the source, the head of Sony Tom Rothman decided that this picture needed"a completely different creative approach"(previously it was supposed to make a film in the spirit of the adventures of Indiana Jones). Perhaps the new vision will affect the budget.

But before getting what he wants, Drake will have to work hard, because he is not the only one who wants to get to the untold riches first.
