BBC siege Troy
As reported by Variety , BBC has begun work on Troy: Fall of a City * ( Troy: Fall of a City), which is described as an epic story of love, revenge, intrigue and bloodshed. The creators of the drama want to give viewers the opportunity to look at the events of ancient Greek myths and legends through the eyes of an ordinary Trojan family, whose hometown has been under siege for many years.The drama will be written by David Farr ("Hannah. The Perfect Weapon") and produced by Kudos , which has a track record of the popular sci-fi show People ( Humans ). Troy: Fall of a City is expected to become one of the most expensive projects in BBC history. According to insiders, the channel's management is ready to allocate ? 2 million for each episode. The series will be executive produced by Farr , Derek Wecks and Matthew Reed. Casting for the project will start early next year.  Farr is currently working on the TV series "The Night Manager" ( The Night Manager ) based on the novel of the same name by John Le Carre, starring Hugh Laurie and Tom Hiddleston.
