Dustin Hoffman: ”Modern cinema is no good!”
In an interview with The Independent Oscar-winning actor Dustin Hoffman (Rain Man, Kramer vs. Kramer), he recalled a time when studio bosses were less obsessed with their financial performance. films at the box office and cared more about the semantic content of projects than about their entertainment. The 77-year-old actor sees the reason for all the troubles in the reduction of the director's role in the production process and the decrease in the number of shooting days due to the prevalence of digital technologies.  In all fairness, Hoffman has also been featured in commercially successful entertainment films with little artistic value, such as Meet the Fockers. Still, such harsh criticism of the film business from the mouth of the legendary actor should make the Hollywood bosses wary.
