As reported by Deadline , Paramount Pictures expects to create a cinematic universe based on the Transformers franchise, akin to the one that Marvel Studio Marvel is successfully building . Currently, the bosses of Paramount are recruiting a team of writers who could start work on several sequels and spin-offs of the popular film series at once. Akiva Goldsman (A Beautiful Mind, Beyond the Boundary / Fringe ) has been invited to lead the group.According to insiders, the idea belongs to the new president of Paramount Mark Evans , who views this project as one of the highest priorities. Last year, Age of Extinction was the only film to surpass the $ 1 billion mark at the worldwide box office. Gathering teams of screenwriters to work on film series is becoming increasingly popular. This approach was chosen by James Cameron to create three new films at once in the Avatar franchise, and last year the bosses of Universal decided to use this model as well, starting to build a cinematic universe for their famous monsters.
